We loved learning from our Planet Earth Books during our unit study and there were so many different topics to dive into, covering topics like; Weather, the water cycle, and the rock cycle. the layers of the earth, geographic features, the natural wonders to biomes, and different habitats! The Earth is such a massive topic that we could have studied it for weeks longer than we did!
With our Planet Earth Unit Study, we touched on a little of a lot of the earth sciences! Weather, rocks, water cycle, biomes, and continents were all just the surface level of all the things we talked about!
Over the years while our family routine is constantly shifting and altering as the season of life changes I have found that we tend to stick to a basic routine that honestly doesn’t change all that much! I guess if it’s working for us why change it?!
The human body is fascinating and preschoolers are super curious about the world around them so this is a great unit study to really spark their interest in themselves! Our books about the human body covered the different systems of the body from bones to blood to brains and so much more!
With so much to cover we had to pick and choose for our Human Body Unit Study. I could have spent ages covering everything and still felt like we had to leave stuff out. You can be sure we will be revisiting the human body again!
I have two widely active kids running around my living room every day all day, it just makes more sense to have a living room playroom that suits all our needs!
Our nutrition and food unit study had tons of hands-on learning in the kitchen, but we also introduced fractions, lots of sensorial work, and of course plenty of language work as well!
If you have a little one who likes to help out in the kitchen then these food books for preschoolers will be right up their alley! I’ve included nutritional nonfiction, multicultural cooking, diverse foods and so much more in my selections!
When I say my toddler reads these board books on repeat I should clarify, that I read them on repeat at her request, which is a lot. The best thing about these board books though is that they are so much fun to read or feature such beautiful art that you won’t mind rereading even if it is the sixth time this morning…
What homeschool preschool space unit study would be complete without rockets, moon phases, and the solar system! We did lots of counting, fine motor work, and sensorial exploration!
