It’s been a while and a lot has changed so let’s take a tour of our multi-age playroom! Toy rotation has been a lifesaver for us to keep the chaos under control with three kids running around all the time now.
I am a Type A kinda lady, but also a bit of a collector…so organization is kinda a big deal for me. Our toy storage for our out or rotation toys is one area of my life that has had to evolve over time, but I definitely have a few items that are my tried and true tools for keeping our toy storage organized!
I have two widely active kids running around my living room every day all day, it just makes more sense to have a living room playroom that suits all our needs!
I have had an idea rolling around in the back of my brain for a while. I wanted to try and do a rainbow toy rotation and boy it didn’t disappoint! I love all the bright colors so much!
I can deny it no longer. My toddler is a preschooler and my baby is a toddler and our playroom toy rotation has had to grow and change with them!
Suddenly here we are. I have a three-year-old and a 6-month-old and a shared playroom for them attempting to take over my living room.
It happened. Over the winter we were bitten by the Frozen bug. A princess Toy rotation seemed like a no brainer now that we have started to accumulate more princess toys. This is a theme that I feel like a lot of little girls would love and it was a HIT for us.
In an effort to cheer us up and get us through the last dregs of winter I planned a Springtime toy rotation! Here in Colorado, we have been teased with a few beautiful days, but they are always followed by cold and dreary days as well. So we needed something fun and bright for those grey days.
I spent some time updating our toy shelves for our January toddler toy rotation. I wanted to mix in some of her new toys from Christmas, but I also wanted to make sure and save some of them for later on down the road. Especially because we will need some good distractions with baby Bean due next month!
