2019 Liebster Award Nominee

The Liebster Award. Don’t worry I didn’t know what it was either…lol Even without knowing what it was all about I suddenly found myself a nominee!

The Liebster award is by bloggers for bloggers to help each other grow and celebrate!

The Liebster award is an award just for the blogging community. It is given out by bloggers to other bloggers they love to help share content and connect the community.

The connection and community are what makes all the work worth it in the end so I was really honored to be a nominee!

I have been blogging now for a little over 6 months and boy let me tell you it is so much more work than I ever thought it would be! It makes it all worth it for when I get a chance to connect with others and its maybe worth it even a little more when you get recognized for all that work! 😉

My Liebster award nomination was courtesy of Teawithmum.com

It was a real surprise to be nominated by Rachael for this award and I want to send a great big thank you in her direction for helping to keep the community growing and full of positivity!

For those of you who don’t know Rachel is the lady in charge of tea with mum, it’s a great personal blog helping her heal after the loss of her mom. She is carrying on the tradition of a sharing a pot of tea and having a chat with her mum. Even if now the chat is a bit more one-sided.

She covers some great content from some simple DIY around the house to European travel tips to parenting. She has a nice range so there is always something new to read without it being too random to flow together!

Questions from Tea with Mum

the Liebster award is all about discovering new blogs and celebrating each other in the blog community!
What’s currently sitting in top place on your bucket list?

This is a hard question for me. Bucket lists always feel like they should be someday goals…wishes or dreams. If we’re talking wishes and dreams its to have a season pass to the theater so I can go and see all the shows my heart desires! If we are being more realistic and honest the biggest goal I have right now is to own my own home to raise our family in.

What do you wish you could do, but haven’t yet mastered?

I wish I could fluently sign in ASL. I have been learning alongside my daughter and I absolutely love it. But I tell you what when I try and even just understand what someone is signing when they aren’t signing to a toddler and I struggle. It would be so cool to be able to fluently sign, but I feel like I’m going to need a tutor beyond youtube for that!

It’s nearly your birthday. What cake or gift are you making for yourself?

I make my self old fashioned sour cream doughnuts with glaze frosting. What can I say I’m more of a doughnut kind of girl than a cake kinda girl!

If you were gifted a round-the-world trip and spending money, what three places would definitely be on your itinerary?

I have always wanted to see Australia since I was a little girl. I would really love the change to see a lot of India, It just looks so beautiful (and the food is some of my favorites) from there I think some tropical islands. I’m really not picky so long as its warm and sunny and the water is clear!

What blog post are you most proud of and why?

My homemade wooden stacker toys for sure. This post was months in the making and I am so happy with the outcome and that was just the prep before I started writing the post! That was a doozy of a post to write and I felt I needed it to do justice to the project behind it! I’m happy to say I think it did and I am proud of the outcome.

My 2019 Liebster Award Nominees

The Liebster award is all about discovering new blogs and passing on the love so here are my nominations for the 2019 Liebster award

Blessed Mama Life

This mama and I are all up in each other’s Instagram! Stacy is so kind and always so relatable. Her kiddos and too cute and her posts both on IG and her blog are right up my ally as we are in similar walks of life right now!

Jaimi Stewart

Jaimi is chronicling life with two sets of twins and they just got back from an epic family road trip via RV. Her Instagram is totally worth a follow! Bonus points for being located in CO not too far from me!

Fred Ted and Company

I first heard of Montessori when I was in my teens. I worked at a daycare where the preschool program was a Montessori environment.  Ted over at Fred Ted and company has a great blog full of Montessori lifestyle resources as well as an Instagram where she talks about the reality of this style of parenting, both the good and the bad!

Liebster Award Questions for my Nominees

Here’s where you get to share a little more about who you are! After all, talking about yourself is the easy part right?!

  1. If you could reread/rewatch one thing and experience it like it was brand new again. What would it be?!
  2. What’s one thing that you feel you just don’t have enough time in the day/week/year to do as much as you wish you could?
  3. When you grocery shop do you take a list or is it all memorized/luck of the draw?!
  4. When you find yourself swimming in money what are the first three your going to do?
  5. How long have you been blogging and what’s your favorite part?

I can’t wait to hear from all of you!
